Troop 479 is signed up with eScrip! This is a passive, painless way for friends and families to support our boys without any extra effort. By registering your credit cards and shopping at selected merchants, a percentage of your purchase is returned directly to our Troop.

 

Q: “Selective merchants” sounds, well, selective! Am I going to have to go out of my way and shop at obscure places to make any money for 479?

 

A: Ever go to Claim Jumper? Eat at Pick Up Stix? Daphne’s Greek Café? Baja Fresh? Coco’s? Carl’s Jr.? Shop at Macy’s or Eddie Bauer? Buy groceries at Vons or Major Market? A whole list of merchants is available on the eScrip website.

 

SIGNING UP FOR THE FIRST TIME:

Many of you are probably already signed up with eScrip through your school or sporting organizations. The good news is that you can be a supporter of up to three separate groups! But if you’re an eScrip beginner, it’s a easy process….

1. Go to www.escrip.com.

2. Click on the “� Sign Up - It’s Free!” button.

3. Enter in our group name: Troop 479 - Poway.

4. Follow the rest of the directions. You’ll want to register your regular credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express), ATM cards, Debit Cards, Vons cards, Macy’s cards, etc…

5. That’s IT! You’re done!

 

ALREADY A eSCRIP MEMBER?

You can add in Troop 479 to your list of supported organizations.

1. Go to www.escrip.com.

2. Sign in to “My eScrip”.

3. Go to “Account Administration”.

· Here you can update your password, update your registered cards (check those expiration dates!) and update your personal info.

4. Click on “Group Selection”.

5. Enter in our group name: Troop 479 - Poway.

6. That’s IT! You’re done!

 

Q: Well, that wasn’t bad. Can I ask Grandma & Grandpa and Aunts & Uncles to sign up and support our Troop, too?

 

A: Absolutely! They’ll just need to follow the same steps you did.

 

OTHER FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITES:

eScrip also offers cash for old printer cartridges and cell phones. You might already be contributing your cartridges to a school, but if not, please save them for 479! All inkjet cartridges earn us $1.60, and laser cartridges go as high as $13.00!

 

Do you have old cell phones cluttering up your drawers? They’re like cash for us!

 

We’ll collect cartridges and cell phones at every scout meeting. Just throw yours in a plastic bag, and send them with your son. As soon as we have 30 pieces, we mail them off and trade them for cash!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Have you updated your Albertson’s Preferred Savings Card lately? It’s easy to support the Troop while doing your normal grocery shopping! If you don’t have a card, please stop by any Albertsons store to get one - they’re free!

 

Once you have your card, you will need to set it up to support 479. Albertsons allows you to help up to four different groups simultaneously, so don’t worry if you’re already supporting a school or sports team.

 

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR CARD HOLDERS:

1. Log on to www.albertsons.com/cp/?s=.

2. Enter the number on the back side of your card below the bar code.

3. Enter your ten digit phone number.

4. Click “Login”.

5. Click on “My Account”. This will pull up your current list of supported partners.

6. Click on “Add A Partner”.

7. Enter our ID #: 49000103408. (You can also do a search by name.)

8. That’s it!

If you support more than one group, you can also adjust the percentages that each group receives.
